The Soreheads, far from being a sore experience.

A lot of cunts don't know when to shut the fuck up and some others should open theirs more. Well Manella, who's a solo artist and a loud one rocking in Thee Soreheads , is one who should go on dialoguing her thoughts for hours. The songs performed with Thee Soreheads reflect and partake in today's new ways of feminism, liberty aspects and total freedom of expression. Songs range about not being anyone's sex doll to hating her alarm clock waking her up and just simply having attitude. The band is one to grind it's teeths on todays issues and concerns of the youth. Thee Soreheads played a set June 1st at Traxide , supporting Chire and Scarlet Wives and well... It was incredible! I spent the evening with singer of Gitni and we saw last minute there was a show at Traxide and so we sped our way to his place to smoke up a bit of tobacco coiled in a bong and afterwards, we dashed out in the night, fearless and thralled for the set at Traxide, Montreal punkiest undergro...

23/03/2024 Word Of Blue, Gitni, and Bad Objection

Image
March 23rd, there's a show at Barfly on St-Laurent at the height of the Schwartz Deli a popular franchise that attracts tourists and meat lovers every day. On that famous night, Bad Objection fronted by Ricardo Ranaldi, was long awaited because every other member had left the band and so everyone was left wondering who would be filling in the shoes of such a trailblazing legacy. But I did get to catch Gitni for their last two songs and what I caught was four boys who enslaved the crowd to their catchy grooves and by the time I came in, everyone wanted more from the band. They'd entwined every mind to their very will and now every one was doing what the ...

3 Strikes You're Out - Bad Objection Album Review Hopping on a burning train, going down the rails, wondering where does it even go? Will it bring you down in the tiers-monde of Mexico where all the thrill and dangers are? Will it lead you to the High Class suburb of Montreal reign by sophisticated sounds or simply out in a field where wheat grows and the sky breathes purple haze?  Those  were the  questions I asked myself, as I pressed play on Spotify to listen to “3 Strikes You’re Out,” recorded by Bad Objection, captured at Ice Box Studio. One thing is sure; the train is fast paced, dazzling and running full steam to wherever the band wished to bring you.  Comprised of 10 action packed tracks, this masterpiece was sung and strummed by Riccardo Ranaldi, the bass foundations were laid down by Chad Baker and the drums were pounded by Pedro. They’re a punk trio, NOFX styled but better; much better. Coming from a man who is more of a Sex Pistols punk type, it ha...
